Maifield doubles at Pro-Line Summer Offroad Shootout

The 23rd annual Pro-Line Summer Offroad Shootout was held at Rainman’s Hobby and Raceway in Bakersfield, California this past weekend. The race attracted 160 entries and in 2WD Open Buggy it was Yokomo’s Ryan Maifield with the overall TQ from Ron Devoll in 2nd. The triple A-mains saw Ryan making a clean sweep in A1 and A2 for the overall, allowing him to sit out A3 that was won by Team Associated’ Broc Champlin who took the overall runner-up spot from Team Associated’s Ron Devoll in 3rd. Ryan Cavalieri would come in 4th overall, tie on points with Ron.

Over in 4WD Open Buggy it was again Ryan Maifield with the overall TQ as SWorkz’s Ryan Cavalieri came in 2nd after the qualifiers. In the A-mains it was again Ryan Maifield who lead the way in A1 and A2 for an early overall win as Ryan Cavalieri cemented his overall runner-up spot with a win in A3. Broc Champlin would round out the top 3 in front of JP Richards.

13.5T Expert 4WD Buggy saw Tanner Ashmore (Yokomo) walking away with the wins in A2 and A3 for the overall from 7th place qualifier, Yokomo team manager, Joe Pillars on the runner-up spot. Doug Lariviere (Team Associated) would retain his 3rd place qualifying position to round out the top 3 while top qualifier, Matthew Gonzales had to settle for 6th overall.

Matt would in turn bring home the TQ and win for Yokomo in the 17.5T Expert 2WD Buggy class from 3rd place qualifier, Doug Lariviere as Tanner Ashmore completed the top 3 result.

13.5T Stadium Truck had Ryan Moore taking the TQ, however it was Joe Pillars with 1-3-1 finishes who took the overall win from Ryan in 2nd. Jovy Levin would round out the top 3 result.

In 17.5T Stadium Truck Ian Crawford TQ’d and won, leaving behind Dujuan Moore and Rob Moots in 2nd and 3rd respectively, the two ending tie on points after the triple A-mains with the better end for Dujuan after the tie-breaker.
